The Antidote to Stress: Living Juicy
What images do the words “Living Juicy” conjure up for you? Do they inspire you, or terrify you? Do they make you happy or sad? Do you think living juicy is only for the young? Have you ever lived juicy? If so, what was it like? What did you do? How did you feel?
If you are drawing a blank, we encourage you to “walk with these questions.” Walking with a question means letting it float in and out, coming back to it, and being confident that if you stay with the question, it will be answered! If you have buried the answers, you may have to engage in some excavation to dig them out, but it is so worth the effort!
When we are juicy, we are happy and having a good time, and as a result, our frequency is high. Stress, pressure, fatigue, poor diet, worry and imbalance all work to prevent us from being juicy. Many of us work way too many hours, between work, doing household chores, running errands and all the other important “to dos” that fill our lives.
You feel juicy in your work when:
• You are allowed to be creative.
• You can try new things without a fear of failure.
• You are living on purpose.
• There is no separation between your work persona
and your regular persona.
• You are connected to Divine Guidance (super fun!).
• You can co-create with like-minded individuals.
• Your work is in alignment with your values.
You feel juicy in your relationships when:
• You are open, focused on the positive and willing
to get out of your rut.
• You make prioritized, quality time for each other.
• You are willing to be vulnerable and share your
deepest hopes and dreams.
You feel juicy in your own body when
You are present, relaxed, comfortable in your own skin, and connected to your senses.
This month, we invite you to have an adventure: Go somewhere you have never been before, do something you have never done, or taste something new. Be in “beginner’s mind,” which is akin to feeling childlike, filled with curiosity.
There Is No Purpose Without Play
When we have so much to do, and so little time in which to get all we need to get accomplished, why take precious time out to play?
Play relieves stress. Having fun triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals and improve the functioning of the brain. Play stimulates the mind, boosts creativity, improves relationships and your connection to others, and keeps you feeling young and energetic! Play Makes Your Life Juicy
