Spirit in Business
by Aimèe Lyndon-Adams and Karen Halseth
Years ago, I used to work at Citibank and I remember my boss sharing with me the advice his boss
had given him, “Don’t even think of bringing all of yourself to work! As you enter your office, put on your corporate overcoat, and take it off when you leave.”
As you may imagine, it was not what I wanted to hear! Yet, many people in structured employment or even as entrepreneurs often do the very same thing. In fact, high-priced coaches and mentors actually counseled my business partner and I not to mention that we are metaphysicians as well as business executives; and, not to disclose that we channel the wisdom and healing energy of 20 Ascended Masters! And, yet, it’s exactly what differentiates us in a sea of business coaches and mentors!
All of you arrived in this world not only with a set of gifts and talents but also with a burning desire, if not a need, to share them. You all want to make a contribution, to be heard, and valued, and to make a difference with your lives. To further complicate matters, many of you were born into families that couldn’t see you and thus you spent your childhoods trying to fit in, your schooldays learning to conform, and then found employment that compartmentalizes you! Enough!
We believe that if we all embraced our gifts and talents and shared them in the world, many of our world’s problems would cease to exist. It’s time to stop dimming our lights and to seize our courage. In the following issues of The Wave, we will share with you ways to shift your work and business paradigm to manifest Financial Fulfillment AND have a rich Spiritual Life, inside and outside of your work, without collapsing into a heap of exhaustion every day!

Note from the Editor:
Your success is important to you . . . but so is your spiritual growth. You want to succeed in your career but not at the detriment of your relationships. You are doing your best to keep up with everything but worry that you are getting more and more exhausted.
You understand the importance of balance but have no idea how to implement it.
As you attempt to navigate through unprecedented and unpredictable changes, you can end each day, week and month wondering if it’s all worth it – and, as the months turn into years, feel that somehow you’ve missed the point!
It can be confusing to be reaching your dreams and goals, only to feel deeply disillusioned. It’s easy to get off track and lose sight of what’s truly important to us in life.
We need a new business paradigm that better serves our spiritual needs as we welcome prosperity and abundance into our lives.
To assist us to shift into this new, healthier, more productive and abundant way of thinking and being, we are thrilled to introduce The Spirit in Business column. In this exciting new column, Karen Halseth and Aimèe Lyndon-Adams, founders of What Truly Matters, will explore this new paradigm in business, work and life.
They will draw upon their years of experience in the corporate world and their many years as Spiritual Coaches, Life Coaches, Intuitives, and Spiritual Business consultants to offer, in these pages in the months to come, guidance and practical techniques that produce sustainable results.
We here at The Wave need to learn these lessons, too! Lets embark on this journey together!
