Ancient Wisdom for a
Modern Wired World

A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life. - The Dalai Lama
in harmony with the natural environment. Our homes and places of work have gradually become filled with unnecessary stress and strife. In nature there is much life force energy, (prana), whereas in crowded urban areas there is less natural light and fresh air, causing stress and tension. Very simple adjustments, including using tools that return the five elements to balance, will alleviate this stress.
Everything that exists in the universe, including our bodies, is made of the five elements. These five elements are earth, (geomagnetic energy), water (gravitational energy), fire (solar energy), air (wind energy), and space (cosmic radiations). These forces have a powerful influence upon
Each of these elements is associated with a particular direction: water in the northeast, fire in the southeast, earth in the southwest and
air in the northwest, and space in the center. Each of the five elements, together with the directions, has a specific planetary influence, as well. By balancing these elements in their proper proportions, according to the principles of Vastu, we can gain the benefits of increased wellbeing and an expanded sense of ease and flow, and we are better able to access our divine purpose and manifest it in the world.
When you enter a building and feel uneasy, it means one or more of the five elements are out of balance. One may move into an environment that is beautiful in appearance with lovely architectural details and design, but if one of these elements is misaligned, the new residents of such a lovely structure may end up with

us, as well as the environment, making a subtle yet profound impact on our daily lives. In any structure, the five elements must be in balance to gain the support of nature.
Your Home is Your Temple
Vastu Shastra is India’s ancient Vedic tradition of design, architecture, and sacred space. It encompasses both architecture and the art of how to honor and fill the space enclosed within that form. Vastu links the body (microcosm) to the universe (macrocosm). It is a great gift and blessing from the ancient Rishis of India.
Vastu Shastra, (Vastu meaning building, and Shastra meaning science), is a method of bringing natural beauty, balance and serenity
to your home, office or other structure.
Vastu transforms environments into places of reduced stress, and increased peacefulness and productivity. It is a powerful way of creating and organizing our living and working spaces for optimum harmony.
Thousands of years ago, knowledge of Vastu spread throughout India and to other parts
of the planet. Since that time, Vastu Shastra principles have influenced architectural monuments throughout the world, including the Greek Parthenon, the Egyptian and Mayan Pyramids, the Taj Mahal and the Roman Coliseum.
Within the tenets of Vastu, the buildings in which we live are considered living entities that are deserving of love and respect. Our home
is considered the temple of the body, and the body the temple of the soul. A building has
an energy field that will affect the inhabitants, negatively or positively, depending on whether the elements, directions and planetary influences are in balance. When we take good care of our homes and workspaces, they in turn, will take good care of us.
We are living in a modern wired world and feel the effects of it daily. Over time, many of us have lost touch with the importance of living
