Ceremonia
By René Jenkins, with Janay Cipriani
2008 Axis Mundi Studio and VibeTherapy Records
René lives in Sonoma, CA, and travels around the US conducting sound healing
concerts and ceremonies. I have had the blessing of attending one such healing
ceremony at Unity in Marin. It was a truly remarkable experience. For over an
hour and a half chills ran up and down my spine, and my whole body tingled
with energy as René passed among us, playing various indigenous instruments,
focusing on each of us, in turn, as Spirit moved him. He brushed us with sweet
grass, shaking it like a rattle, and played many different indigenous musical
instruments gently and softly in our ears and all around our bodies, letting the healing tones permeate our beings. It was a truly remarkable experience.
Ceremonia is the recording of just such a sacred sound journey performed with ancient indigenous instruments.
With Ceremonia, we can hear René’s healing music and experience the gentle loving sounds of the many indigenous instruments he employs to help us remember our Oneness and Wholeness.
For a truly healing, magical experience, I recommend you lie down on the floor or some comfortable surface, close your eyes, and listen to Ceremonia. Imagine the sweet grass rattle brush you, and the loving tones of flutes and other indigenous instruments wash over you, healing you and bringing you to Oneness and Wholeness.
Ceremonia is available on Amazon.com

Always
By Rebecca Edwards Produced by Paul Coley
Rebecca Edwards is a local Sonoma County vocalist who has produced several interesting albums and performs at a local jazz club. Her album, Always, is
a collection of some of her own compositions and some standards, such as Amazing Grace and Morning Has Broken.
Her own compositions stand out in this album. The lyrics are inspiring in their evocation of New Age spiritual themes, and the musical compositions are pleasing. One can hear in the music Rebecca’s love for her subject, our spiritual growth and evolution.
I will be keeping an eye on Rebecca’s vocal career and I look forward to watching her grow, her voice strengthen and develop, and her musical compositions take flight.
