We Are One
Raising a Generation of Unity Conscious Beings
by Jennifer Black
IMAGINE living in a world that celebrates cultural diversity, where power with, rather than power over, was our global anthem.
A place where we are free to be with our beliefs in peace.
A world where the heart guides the mind!
Well, It would look very different than the one we live in today.
It is no secret that socially, economically, and environmentally, we are in crisis. Challenges
are everywhere we look. Violence, bullying and intolerance grow like a plague, while the earth and her creatures continue to be exploited. Greed, fed by the illusion of scarcity, predominately fuels money and trade.
Though the collective and global price of this is immeasurable, one area we directly experience it’s results is within the human condition; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. As we glance across the globe, we see people with the same issues in a full spectrum of varying degrees.
This is a great gift. Not just the recognition that collectively we are not in balance, but that, it is indeed, a global situation. We are all challenged collectively, environmentally, socially and economically.
Yet, our basic human needs are the same; food, shelter, purpose, connection and love.
When we contemplate and recognize this simple truth, we realize it is up to each one of us to see where we stand in our global community. How do we treat ourselves and others, especially others of a different nationality, culture or religion?
How do you feel when you read about our global
challenges? What comes up for you? Do you feel connected? Are you triggered? Joyous? Frustrated? Inspired? Angry?
Take a moment to sit with these questions. Be honest with yourself. Whatever your reaction is, be with it. It is important to recognize and own where you find yourself. It can be the fuel for transformation, if you let it.
You see, we cannot do this alone; not as individuals, nor as separate nations. It is through cultivating respectful, harmonious relations with ourselves, and with each other, that we heal and strengthen.
It is up to each one of us to dissolve the illusion of separation.
The only barriers that exist are the ones we believe in. As each one of us forgives the wounds of the past, we open our hearts to the present. This enables us to evolve and nurture the human family, so we can collectively care for the earth and all of her inhabitants.
So how do we do this?
How do we accelerate the paradigm shift we’ve been promising ourselves? How do we recognize our inter connectedness with all? How do we reflect our unity to those who do not see?
We go to the causal root!
And what is the causal root, you ask?
It is the root of the conditioned mind. And when does this conditioning begin? When we are children, of course.
