EMF, Wi-Fi, and RF Radiation: Silent Danger in Our Schools
According to national statistics gathered in August 2015, nearly half of all elementary school students, even more middle school students, and 71 percent of all high school students have wireless access at school. These numbers have only increased as more and more school districts add Wi-Fi and eliminate wired connections.
Because children’s bodies and immune systems are still developing, they are particularly susceptible to harmful changes in their brains and blood after exposure to RF radiation. The younger the child, the greater the risk.
For example, children absorb more energy than adults when using a cell phone. The radiation penetrates their mid-brain area.
Tumors in this
region cause death more frequently than tumors in the temporal lobe, where adult cell phone users are more affected.
Wi-Fi was
introduced into
schools with
little attention given to the health impact on students or teachers. This lack of concern is based on the assumption by the FCC and other governmental agencies that unless body tissue is heated during exposure, this type of radiation is safe. As explained below, this assumption has been proven over and over to be false.
The non-thermal negative biological effects of wireless radiation are well documented:
• The BioInitiative Report of 2012 lists more than 1,800 studies implicating non-ionizing radiation exposures*
in a variety of health concerns. (Learn more about this groundbreaking document by clicking on Smart Meters at the Waves of Change website: www.woctoheal.com)
• The Reflex Report, prepared by 12 scientific institutions in 7 countries, confirmed long-term genetic damage
in the blood and brains of cell phone users and
from other electromagnetic sources. It also showed extremely similar DNA breaks whether one used a cell phone for 24 hours, or submitted to 1600 chest x-rays!

• The World Health Organization classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B) in 2011. According to Dr. Darius Leszynski, a member of the expert panel of the WHO’s EMF Working Group,
“This classification justifies the implementation of the Precautionary Principle...confirms the existence of non- thermal effects that can cause health risk and indicates that current safety standards are insufficient to protect health of the users.”
• The research of Martha Herbert, Pediatric Neurologist and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, suggests a profound connection between wireless radiation and neurological issues:
“Given how much we have already learned about the subtle biological, cellular and electrical impacts of EMF/ RFR, we need to update our out-of-date regulations to take into account of how exquisitely vulnerable we now know we are. And we need to aim for safer ways of meeting our needs for communication and other devices that generate EMF/RFR. Just because EMR/RFR is invisible doesn’t mean it’s harmless.”
The following are just a sample of the hundreds of studies conducted since the late 1990s that prove strong connections between microwave radiation and Alzhiemers, Leukemia, and other serious and deadly diseases.
ALZHIEMERS
Epidemiological studies in the U.S. and in Sweden have produced evidence of a link between Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and occupational exposures to electromagnetic fields (EMFs). In the December 1996 issue of Neurology, Dr. Eugene Sobel and colleagues reported a fourfold increase in the risk of AD for subjects who had worked in jobs with medium-to-high EMF exposure.
Dr. Maria Feychting, in a study for Sweden at the Department of Energy, found that among subjects who were 75 years or younger at the time of diagnosis, those who had worked in jobs with the higher EMF exposures were five times more likely to develop AD.
Drs. Marcel Goldberg, Pascal Guénel and coworkers, who collaborated on a joint Canadian-French epidemiological study published in 1994, found a threefold increase in the risk of brain tumors for those utility workers with the highest cumulative exposure to 50 Hz electric
